As a certified Radiation Protection Advisor and a Chartered Radiation Protection Professional, Paul Jarvis has 20+ yr’s experience in Health Physics, Radiological Protection & Nuclear Safety, from working on Nuclear licenced sites, defence and Nuclear power, plus consultancy in the UK and overseas.

My University education, saw me gain an honours degree in Physics, a Masters degree (with distinction) in Radiation and Environmental Protection and a Doctorate in Radiation Detection. I have subsequently completed numerous Radiation and Nuclear Safety Training courses together with an MBA in Business Leadership and Development.
During my career, I have served on the council of the Society for Radiological Protection and served two terms as an elected member of the UK Radiation Protection Council. I am a Fellow of the Society for Radiological Protection and am also a Chartered Engineer. ‘Jarvis Nuclear’ is a business I founded in 2017.
Jarvis Nuclear are members of both the UK Radon Association, the Devon Chamber of Commerce and an Affiliated Organisation of the Society for Radiological Protection.
Neil MacPhail - Principal Consultant / R.P.A.
Neil has worked in Radiation Protection for more than 35 yrs, initially serving in the Submarine Service for the Royal Navy. On leaving the Navy in 2015, he was employed by Rolls-Royce as a Radiation Protection Adviser, eventually progressing within the company, to take on the role of Head of Radiation Protection.
With an interest in Veterinary Medicine, Neil took a year out of the Nuclear Industry in 2022/3 to provide Radiation Protection advice to the Veterinary sector, this included visiting more than 150 veterinary practices all over the UK. His last job before joining Jarvis Nuclear, was as an Internal Regulation & Assurance Manager, once again for Rolls-Royce, providing assurance to the Nuclear Site Licensee on all aspects of safety, including Nuclear, Radiological, Environmental and Conventional.
